Paper Bags

Hi all!! Recently my daughter made paper bags in her craft class. They had made paper bags first and then they made this bag using the handmade paper....Isn't it lovely.......It has the eyelets and all.
But it was looking a bit plain..... So we decided to decorate it.

We took an invitation card to make these flowers an it had this leaf .... and I cut it for her.

Then using a glitter pen I drew small lines and outlines .

But before that this is what I taught her and her friends how to make these flowers...
She made flowers from magazines and this is what  it looks like.

Clay .....

My daughter loves making things using clay and here are some of the art work that she has done recently...
Though now clay has been banned in the house since she has eczema and it has increased alarmingly since one month.... I am hoping everything will become fine and once again she will start playing and creating beautiful things from clay....

This one is my personal favorite because after I taught her to make those rosettes , she made the whole thing on her own....

We made these two together.... and enjoyed it a lot too....

Latest craft from my daughter....

This is a card for her friend's Birthday
We used a few wedding cards ,buttons and a paper from some ad champaign...
So I can say that this card is made completely made from recycled items :)
My sister and her room-mate have collected a lot of papers, mostly wedding invitations they get in their office and other pamphlets..... This is one of those papers they had given.....

We cut the basic shapes first and then sticked them.... on this paper

 Am submitting it to the July challenge at Artsy Craftsy Mom

Kid's Clock and Help Issues

My daughter had to make a clock as an assignment......And we were supposed to do the clock using a cardboard.
My daughter made this.....and I helped her. The clock hands are movable and I hope it helped her teacher while teaching  ......
I didn't want to help her too much in the process of doing this clock and at the same time I wanted it to be simple enough for my daughter to do it on her own....
BTW can anybody advise me when should we stop helping our kids...
She is 7 years old . I wnt to know how much should we interfere and what are the limitations?
I am scared that if I help her too much she will become too much dependant on me.....on the other hand I cant stop myself from helping her whenever she is struggling either on a craft or any drawing or sometimes playing too..... Sometimes I think that I interfere too much .....
I need serious help here...

My kid in the process of doing the clock...
We used,
* cardboard,
* old invitation cards,
* glue
* push pins
* kundans for decorations
* sketch pens

Paper Bags

As I have already told I had taken craft classesfor a few children last week....
And this is what I taught the children....
Actually the children learnt to make a bag out of newspaper and then they made bag out of chart paper...

Since finally our Government has finally banned the use of plastic bage, we thought that this would be the best craft the children could learn...

Paper bag making was one of the subjects..
We also taught drawing, clay modelling, flip book and story board....

This is what I made ....

You can see how the children were excited while making these bags...

Some were quick and innovative too as you can see..

You can find the tutorial for this bag here...http://dipti-myart.blogspot.com/2011/04/gifting-ideas.html
