POPSICLE STICK

I had been wanting to do something from this popsicle stick from many days but I was not getting any ideas..
Suddenly yesterday I thought of doing this quilling...and lo here it is...

My daughter loved it so much........

Morni Baga ma bole adhi raaat ma......
I Love peacock....
They are beautiful, bright, magestic ......well everything....

This is the centre part of my Kinnala Art ....which I am planning to post asap..

Well coloring is not my cup of tea..... Except for charcoal and sometimes oil painting I am not good at Coloring ...Though I am happy with my pencil and paper, sometimes I like to dabble with colors....

This is a picture of Kalamkari design from some magazine... I liked it very much so I tried to do a few peacock drawing in Kalamkari style...
Kalmkari is both a textile tradition and an art form from Andhra Pradesh...

Here I tried to draw peacock using the same style of drawing.... using pencil...sketch pens and crayons..

Well as I said.. coloring is not my cup of tea..

After much experimentation... I tried to repair it with sketch pen and this is the result...

This is another peacock using the same method.... but here I drew the outline using sketch pen and then I coloured using crayons..

We Indians are very familiar with these designs...especially South Indians..

These Peacock designs can be foung in our Silk sarees and temple carvings...

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all of you!!!

Today's post is dedicated to my Mom, Mohini.......
I am going to post some of her art work today......

She has tried her hands in almost all type of work... like glass painting, nib painting, patch work, embroidory, embossing, engrewing, charcoal painting, crotchet work, marbel work, doll making and many more....

From the past few years she learnt more techniques in embroidory and did a lot of work on sarees, kurtis , ghagras and many bags and bed spreads.... Though because of her health problems she has not done anything from last year....
All of that, I will post later....

But as of now I am going to post a few of her art work which are in good condition...
My mom did all these art work some 15 to 17 years back..... So many of her work have perished and are not in a good condition....

I have no new posts as I am busy in my native .....

So I am going to update some of my old work which I have kept in my moms place and mom-in laws place.....

This is the name plate in my In-laws place ....

What I have written is PARNAKUTEERA in Kannada using m-seal work...

Parnakuteera is the name of our house....
It is nearly 3 and a half feet wide and I have used a wooden board as the base....

This is a phone stand I made using m-seal and I made this some 3 or 4 years back.......

And this is an elephant which I made using m-seal on a pot...

Since my daughter is having summer vacation…...

I am in my native in Karnataka…..visiting my mother, mother-in-law, and all the various functions like marriages, poojas, house warming ceremonies and threading ceremonies….

So I have not been able to do any craft… and so no new updates....
