Today I made this for my daughter......
Or rather for myself ;)

I like Owls.........
and Flowers.....


I had made a similar Vase using other pencils a few days ago...........
This is another version of that same vase .....as you can see.....

These are made using old wedding cards (handmade paper)

Paper Bracelet!!!

Few days back Ann from All things paper had posted a few photoes about these recycled ornaments..............


I liked it very much and it reminded me of our school days.

Of course we didnt do any bracelets but we used to fold the paper and do this craft.........And I had to make these............:)

And I am very happy that I made it(since it is made from old magazine and I love recycling).........And my daughter loves it too ......She even wore it to her school this Saturday :)












This is not a tutorial since I forgot to take photoes while doing....


But will share a few ones which I took........
I started off with a rectangle paper of nearly 2.5 cms and 6cms(I am not totally sure about the measurements because I didnt measure them )
Fold it lenghtwise and breadthwise few times to get the below shape....

Just make a number of these and make a chain like this...

And TaDa........the bracelet is ready.........

My Drawing Sir always used to advise me to scribble as much as possible...
He had adviced me that scribbling improves our drawing skills...
So here are a few doodles or scribbles..

Paper Bags

As I have already told I had taken craft classesfor a few children last week....
And this is what I taught the children....
Actually the children learnt to make a bag out of newspaper and then they made bag out of chart paper...

Since finally our Government has finally banned the use of plastic bage, we thought that this would be the best craft the children could learn...

Paper bag making was one of the subjects..
We also taught drawing, clay modelling, flip book and story board....

This is what I made ....

You can see how the children were excited while making these bags...

Some were quick and innovative too as you can see..

My First Class!!!

Hi !!!!


Am totally excited today....


I have been a bit busy lately....because this week, I took arts and craft classes for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students.....
Yes!!! I was a teacher for one whole week!!!
My first job (post marriage) !!!!

I always thought that a teacher's job was pretty boring..(Sorry Rajani Mam)
I had even declined a few opportunities earlier.............

But this time the organisers offered me to teach my favourite subjects and the timings was perfect...

I taught clay modelling and paper craft (my favourite) for students belonging to rural areas....

Didnt take photoes in my first clay modelling classes so no photoes in the class...
but if I get any photoes , will post in my next post....

CrAZy Watch And Wholeport...

Wish all my Indian friends a very very happy Vinayaka Chaturthi... and fellw Kannadigas a very happy Gouri festival too..

Been a bit busy lately,,,, So I have not been able to post anything...

I had planned to post a blog dedicated to Lord Ganesha, but I have not yet taken the photoes yet. So I couldnt post it today...

No problem, as I am going to post this "CrAZy Watch" that I did using the Cloisonne Beads, sent by The Wholeport, for the Creativity Expo Contest...

http://www.wholeport.com/ is a site where you get to shop all the beautiful things for your crfting. Be it beads, buttons, lace, soap moulds, origamy paper, Knitting supplies and even a few DIY supplies...





Well I selected these cloisonne beads and wholeport sent it to me......
The package looked like this when I got them,,,,

And this is what the beads look like..Arent they beautiful?

I do have quite a few cloisonne beads myself and in many shapes and colours....:)

So I used these beads, a transparent elastic, satin tape , lue and of course this clock.

And this is what my CrAZy watch looks like...
