ReReCyclying

I love chocolates.... and I can eat a lot of chocolates anytime :)
I try very hard to control my chcolate craving.....
Sometimes I manage it (like for one or two days)

And today when I was eating these chocolates .... suddenly I got this idea of using these chocolate wrappers in any craft....

And so I did these........

REDECORATE......

This week I was totally lazy... so no major art work this week....

Last week was totally crazzy...Last monday (18th july) was my birthday....
Then we went to mumbai....My hubby just completed PGPMS and we all went to attend his convocation ceremony...........There we met with a few friends and spent two beautiful days... which passed like two minutes...
Also we watched Zindagi na milegi naa dobara and I fell totally in love with Hrithik Roshan again....Hmmmmmm

I have not been able to come out of the holiday mood yet....
I have been trying to draw, try some new things, complete some old projects (cant even count how many incompletes I have)...
But I have not been able to stick to one thing....

So here are two Repurposed or Redecorated things........
First one is my jacket....which was plain and boring....
I wanted to add a little bit of colour... but finally settled on black....

This is my jacket.....

I took a black ribbon......

and ............

I used this gum to stick the ribbon on to the brooch pin....and I stitched it to make it more secure...........

TADA!!!!

The other one is this purse....

This clutch purse is a present from my hubby's office....

which had this huge logo of his company....

I tried to rub it off using petrol....

But it looked very tacky ....So I used this old brooch which had seperated from its pin....

I sticked it on the purse.....

And TADA again!!!!!

As per the rules.. I have to write some things about myself......

When I am doing some craft I think of writing this and that but when I start typing for my blog everything gets deleted..........;)

I had been wanting to do something from this popsicle stick from many days but I was not getting any ideas..
Suddenly yesterday I thought of doing this quilling...and lo here it is...

My daughter loved it so much........

PEACOCK

Morni Baga ma bole adhi raaat ma......
I Love peacock....
They are beautiful, bright, magestic ......well everything....

This is the centre part of my Kinnala Art ....which I am planning to post asap..

Well coloring is not my cup of tea..... Except for charcoal and sometimes oil painting I am not good at Coloring ...Though I am happy with my pencil and paper, sometimes I like to dabble with colors....

This is a picture of Kalamkari design from some magazine... I liked it very much so I tried to do a few peacock drawing in Kalamkari style...
Kalmkari is both a textile tradition and an art form from Andhra Pradesh...

Here I tried to draw peacock using the same style of drawing.... using pencil...sketch pens and crayons..

Well as I said.. coloring is not my cup of tea..

After much experimentation... I tried to repair it with sketch pen and this is the result...

This is another peacock using the same method.... but here I drew the outline using sketch pen and then I coloured using crayons..

We Indians are very familiar with these designs...especially South Indians..

These Peacock designs can be foung in our Silk sarees and temple carvings...
